Yummy Chocolatey Skin by Atspah

LOVE CHOCOLATES.

Once upon a time, my pre-workout meal was 1 chocolate bar and a cup of green tea. I kept this habit for over 30days and the results on my skin looked amazing.  Amazing as in, my skin was more moist, so visibly it looked good, felt less rough and smoother to feel.

I know, you are reading this thinking chocolate and clear skin?? We have been told time and again how eating chocolates is bad for you, in fact it is the evil behind your acne breakout.

Well it might only be half true.  Real chocolate has at least 70% Cocoa, thats the good stuff, not the sugar and fat laden candy bars that you might be used to.

The darker the chocolate the better for you.

The beauty industry has caught on to this and the number of skincare products that have Cacao as a key ingredient is on the rise.

So more than just eating chocolate it can become part of your skincare routine.

Cocoa is super rich in antioxidants.

Antioxidants help the body fight free radicals in the environment.

Antioxidants prevent premature aging and fine lines.

Flavanols in Chocolate protect skin from Sun rays and reduce the severity of burns.

Chocolate is rich in Zinc, Copper, Manganese and Iron, minerals that help with energy levels, hair growth and skin repair.

Cocoa butter is an excellent moisturizer, rich in vitamin A,C,D and E to treat dry skin and stretch marks.

P.S: Cacao may also help reduce stress hormones in the body, which means less collagen breakdown in the skin and fewer fine lines.

So if you can’t find dark chocolate or you don’t have the taste buds for it, try this DIY face mask for a chocolate kick.

What you will need:

2 tablespoons pure Cocoa powder (not hot chocolate or drinking chocolate)

1 tablespoon Honey

Choice of any Hydrosol or Green Tea

Rinse off and feel your skin. Its addictive we warn you.
